Growing Things Change
WORKS BY CHARLES DEANTONIO
On Exhibit thru Aug 20, 2023
The phrase "Living things grow, growing things change . . ." is well known to longstanding members of St. Andrew's. This collection speaks to that truth as a retrospective of portraits, landscapes, still life work, abstracts, and history paintings over time by local artist Charles DuPre DeAntonio.
It tells his story as an artist and as a believer, walking the viewer through his deepening appreciation of God's truth and love.
About the Exhibit
The son of a well-known Charleston portrait painter, Charles was born in New Orleans, LA and grew up in Mount Pleasant where he attended St. Andrew's as a child. His work hangs in private collections as far as California and Italy, as well as public collections such as St. Philip's Church, the Old Exchange Building, and the Charleston County Courthouse in downtown Charleston.
About the Artist
Refreshments will be served outside the Main Kairos Gallery in the Brown Fox Café between services at the opening of the exhibit on Sunday morning July 2. The exhibit closes August 20.
Charles will be present so you can meet the artist. The exhibit extends to the Prayer Room Gallery, as well.
